USDA and NAIS

I just read that the USDA is scratching NAIS…well, kinda. They are morphing it into a New Animal Disease Traceability Framework, which will do away with the concept of registering every animal, and just track those destined for interstate commerce. I haven’t read the whole thing yet ( I don’t like reading pages and pages on the computer, hurts my eyes), but it is encouraging to think that the USDA did listen to the “vast majority of participants” who are adamently against NAIS.
